First Snow!

Yes that is right - we woke up to a white winter wonderland this morning! Having worn t-shirts and basked in the sun on Saturday, Tuesday is all about snow. And it is still snowing today, I am stting here watching it fall outside. A few inches for sure!! Luckily the kids are on a long weekend while school does parent-teacher interviews, so we got to enjoy the fluffy white stuff falling from the sky. The kids are learning that snow is 1. wet, 2. cold and 3. slippery! Life lessons in progress :)

Though a Mum fail in not having purchased snowboots and water proof pants for kids yet, a task for this afternoon. Along with a scraper thingy for the car, a door mat for inside the front door and more gloves.

It was Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday so we went with the theme of abundant eating this weekend too. Thanks to Shawn and Luba for a grand Thanksgiving feast last night, and this morning we went out for a big American breakfast before they left town. Think kid's portion pancake bigger than a dinner plate, and breakfast enchiladas with the works - yum!

View out the window this morning -
only the newbies went out to play at 7am!!

  3. Yes the scraper thingy is essential and Matthew to go out and warm the car up before you leave the house!
